Energy is essentially emanated by two forces - the five elements and the electro-magnetic energy generated by the rotation of earth. Earth is a third planet among the nine planets and the only place where life exist due to the presence of five elements. Sun, air and space are universally available and can be utilised in accordance with human needs by the act of designing and building architure keeping in mind these forces.Combination of five elements comprising cosmic energy that balances human and the enviromment. This mysterious science unifying the five elements called ‘Pancha bhootas’- earth, fire, water, sky and space(ether).

five elements  hereunder discussed briefly  for clear understanding:

Earth-
Earth (prithvi) is the most important element in Vastu and influence human lives in every way. The first and foremost element of nature which gives maximum energy. It is necessary to assess the land you are purchasing, a smell soil, location of site and area everything matters in Vastu. The selection of site is considered very important in Vastu element. A detailed inspection of soil, plot, site, shape and size has to be done before commencing the construction.

Vastu - Introduction (1)

Vastu is the science of directions that combines all the five elements of nature and balance them with the man and the material. Vastu Shastra creates a lovable environment and a place to live or work, taking advantages of the benefits bestowed by the five elements called "Pancha bhootas" of the nature thereby paving the way for enriching our health, wealth, prosperity and happiness. And so it is called as science of architecture and buildings which helps in deriving said benefits, and, helping us to make our lives better.

Vastu Shastra is the combination of the science, art, astronomy and astrology, also be known as, divine science for designing and building.

Description of Vastu in detail

Our sages and seers have known the secrets of using all the five elements of this universe, their characteristics and influence such as the magnetic field, gravitational effect etc. of Earth, the galaxy in the sky, the directions and velocity of the wind, light and heat of the SUN including the effects of its Ultra-Violet and Infra-Red rays, the volume and intensity of rainfall etc.

Sages evolved scientific methods and systems and confined them over the years as 'VASTU SHASTRA'., for the advantage of the mankind in suitably planning and constructing buildings for dwelling, prayer, entertainment , education , working , production and other purposes .

The environment which we live-in, comprises of five basic elements, also known as the Paanchbhootas. They are Earth, Water, Air, Fire and Space. Out of the nine planets, our planet has life because of the presence of these five elements. Earth and Water have limited availability for the human habitate and its development. They form apparent and fundamental choice in the location and the physical form of architecture and habitate. Sun, Air and Space are universally available and can be made use of, to meet human needs by the act of design. In order to understand the act of design with these five elements, we shall have to take each one separately to appreciate their meaning, role, and workability in architecture. Man is the subject, object and the cause of architecture. He perceives and conceives architecture in relation to his experience of himself with the surroundings.
